  7. A list of email addresses, one per line, for as many starting positions you
  8. wish to have, or for all the players playing.
  9.  
  10. Total Number of Planets
  11. -----------------------
  12. Typically 7-15 planets per player, but don't tell players this.  You CAN
  13. put more, you can put less.   It really doesn't matter.  More planets slow
  14. the game down, less planets make the game go much faster.  A single game
  15. can last a couple months at 1 turn per day.

  17. Chaos (1-20) 1=highest
  18. ----------------------
  19. This determines the central density and distribution of planets in the
  20. galaxy in a circle.
  21. 1 = random distribution throughout the circle, no central density
  22.  
  23. (2 or more)
  24. Planets are spread around the center of the galaxy in circular areas
  25. defined by <chaosNum> divided by the radius of the galaxy.

  27. Change the values and see the results for yourself. (viewing TURN 0 REPORTS)

  29. Size of Galaxy
  30. --------------
  31. This is equal to the diameter of the Galaxy (twice the radius).
  32. Understand that the fastest ship at drive tech 1, can move 20 light years.
  33. Also understand that when drive tech increases to 2, the same ship can move
  34. 40 light years.

  36. DO NOT WORRY about players being lost without planets nearby them to see.
  37. A player will automatically see the nearest habitable planet if that
  38. player has fully developed and owns all the planets in view. (regardless
  39. of how far away the other planet is)  No player will be completely isolated.

  41. Basic understanding of a circle:  AREA = 3.14 * RADIUS * RADIUS
